چکیده

Abstract Collision tumours are defined as multiple neoplasms adjacent to each other or combined in one area and particularly rare, with only basal-squamous cell carcinoma combination of the head neck region published literature. Case description An 87-year-old farmer presented Maxillofacial Surgery department following referral by his general practitioner concerned suspected skin neoplasms. Four lesions were identified, two which required surgical excision 4mm margins. Following histological investigation, lesion right preauricular was identified a collision tumour completely excised clear Discussion This case highlights possibility single site gives an insight into management while aiming increase clinician awareness especially high-risk sites such neck. suggests that 4-5mm margin may be sufficient removing similar presentations however importance appropriate examination specimens not correctly diagnose but ensure margins mitigate recurrence risk. It must noted systemic metastases more common squamous than basal cases therefore it is possible have higher rates traditional carcinomas.

The Usefulness of CD10 in Distinguishing between Cutaneous Basal Cell Carcinoma and Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Background & Objectives:  CD10 is a cell surface enzyme with metalloendopeptidase activity, also known as Common Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia Antigen, which mainly serves as a marker for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). To date and to the best of our knowledge, only few comparative immunohistochemical studies have assessed CD10 expression in cutaneous epithelial neoplasms. Our goal was to d...

Value of CD10 Expression in Differentiating Cutaneous Basal from Squamous Cell Carcinomas and Basal Cell Carcinoma from Trichoepithelioma

Background: In addition to the well-defined histological criteria for squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and basal cell carcinoma (BCC), immunohistochemical techniques can be used in difficult cases for their differentiation. As differential diagnosis between trichoepithelioma (TE) and BCC is sometimes difficult for the clinician and the pathologist, CD10 may be a useful marker for definite diagnosi...

[Squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma].

Both basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) are very common in skin malignancy. Operative therapy is the first choice at the treatment for SCC and BCC in early stage. After excision for large skin tumor, occasionally we use skin flap or musculocutaneous flap or free flap. At the old patient of Stage III and IV SCC and BCC, sometimes reduction surgery is useful at the combi...
